I haven't posted to my blog since New Year's Day, 2004. My mother passed on New Year's Eve, 2003, I was trying to finish school, and my heart just wasn't into it.
Today, I read my message from AOL that they were discontinuing the blog service, and offered a transfer to Blogger, so here I am.
In the four, almost five, years since my last entry... WOW! Life truly goes on.
My beautiful daughter just turned 19, and is a sophomore in college. She's on a full, academic scholarship, is a member of an honors fraternity (coed, natch), and has just become quite the outstanding young woman. I couldn't be prouder.
I moved to Allentown and have returned to Philly. I did a stint as a teacher in Easton. I've gotten my master's degree, an additional certification, and am working on a third, in ESL. Yes, my love and passion for languages, learning and education continues to burn brightly.
I learned about true love and friendship. I've grown just a bit in wisdom and understanding.
I have a new cat and a new dog. They're my furry babies, all warm and snuggly. I needed them in my life as much as they needed me in theirs (they're rescued furbabies).
So, I'm back. I'll post here from time to time. I want to add to the posts about love, respect, race and so on. I'll try not to let too much time pass between postings.
Heck, I don't have any followers, anyway, so I suppose these are just therapeutic musings anyway!
Ciao for now,
K-T-T
